Since 2006, we have been working to eliminate hunger in Franklin County.
Our story.
Stepping Stone Mission of Franklin County began with Joanne Patterson responding to a strong urging from the Lord to make a difference in the lives of those in challenging circumstances.
Stepping Stone Mission was founded on the vision of ensuring that all individuals, regardless of gender, race, religion, age, or handicap, have access to at least one hot meal per day.
Our goal is to work toward eliminating hunger in the Franklin County community by providing free food to our patrons that have become victims of unfortunate circumstances and cannot meet their own basic needs.
Our mission.
To reach out to those in need.
To provide food to those who are unable to obtain such provisions for themselves.
To refer persons in need to additional resources in the community.
To spread and share the knowledge of Jesus Christ and God’s love for all people.
"Working everyday to eliminate hunger."
Our services.
We serve lunch (from 11:30am to 12:45pm) everyday (weekends and holidays) free of charge to anyone in the community.
We provide a limited number of basic food items for patrons to take home.
We provide resource referrals to other community services.
We have daily prayer before our meal.

“The vision was to have a place for people to come who would otherwise not have a hot meal for that day, available to them seven days a week.”
